Yes, but it is rare. Otluk Hot Pot in North York is one of the few hot pot restaurants in the GTA where the entire kitchen is halal, not a halal option bolted onto a regular menu. Every meat that crosses the slicer is halal: AAA beef, lamb, chicken, and the beef and lamb balls we shape by hand.
Why "halal options" are not the same thing
Most hot pot chains in Toronto offer a halal protein or two beside pork belly and non-halal broths. In a cuisine where everything simmers in one shared pot and sauces travel from a common bar, that distinction matters. If the broth base, the tallow, or the neighbouring tray is not halal, the meal is not either.
A halal kitchen is a standard, not a menu column. At Otluk there is nothing on the premises that is not halal.
